What is the Validator? Validator එක යනු?
The Validator is a hardware device which connects to your computer via USB.

Security is our highest priority so everyone will need access to the Validator to make use of the new WebWallet site. By having to use a hardware device to validate activity within your WebWallet account, the system is much more secure. Even if someone gained access to your WebWallet username and password, they would not be able to take any action without physically possessing your Validator device as well.

What will I need my Validator to do?

When the new WebWallet site is launched you will need your Validator to:

- Submit your Cycles to the Minting Queue

- Access your Reserve funds

- Set up and load funds into your Hot Wallet (more information on this will be provided in the next few days!)

Can one Validator be used by more than one WebWallet account?

Yes. You will be able to configure a single Validator to access multiple WebWallet accounts.

How is this secure?

When you configure your Validator you will choose 24 secret seed words. The only person with access to these words is you. If you want to use a Validator with another account you can do so. You sync your Validator and WebWallet together. The only way to access your WebWallet following this is with a Validator that uses the exact same 24 seed words as yours. You also have a PIN and password as additional protection.

What if I lose my Validator?

If you lose your Validator you can configure another one with the same 24 secret seed words you used to configure your original device. You must keep these 24 seed words secure. To increase security, we will not have access to them and won’t be able to recover them. If you lose your Validator and your seed words you will not be able to access your account.

Why can I not buy more than one Validator?

We want everyone to have access to the Validator. The company is heavily subsidizing the Validator and as such the supply is limited to one per advocate to avoid people holding multiple devices. This limit will be lifted in line with the removal of the initial discount in the future.
